Meal Planning Monday: In Need of Inspiration?

So I sit down on Sunday evening with my cute menu planning pad and pencil. It's time to plan our week, but I'm blank. I open my refrigerater. Still no ispiration. Open the pantry. Same story. (How is it that when I look in those two places they appear to be full, yet there just isn't a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g to eat?) It's at this time I sit down for some online inspiration. I found it! Jane at This Week For Dinner posts her weekly plan, and her readers comment with their meal plans for the week! So many great ideas! This is just the motivation I needed to get me going for our week. Hop over there and I'm sure your meal planner will just fill right up too! We are playing pantry/frig cleanout this week. (Notice the full refrigerator below... It will all be consumed this week.) What's for dinner at your house?

Happy Monday to you all!

Not sure. We eat well, not horrible, but my hubby just found out he has incredibly high blood pressure. We must do something better in the menu area.

My Love made a massive pot of black beans and quinoa w/ veggies last night for dinners and then a delicious Dal soup for lunches for the week - yum! Have a great week!

it's so hard for us to figure out what to eat each night. We normally order out because my husband acts as if each meal is his last ...it has to be PERFECT...lol. I'm sure that will change when we have kids.

Aimee~ I'm still not a convert yet either, but they say it gets easier! I'm working on it... Join me :)

Maegan, I'd much rather eat out every meal too. I can think of any ole reason we need to celebrate with a meal out, but between budgets and my very-into-health-and-nutrition hubby, we find some compromise. Paula, looks like you guys are going to be swinging to my husband's way of thinking soon. Hang in there.

A pot of black beans... That sounds like a good idea for over here. Thanks!

Tonya, I love that pic of O too... That look says naughty and sweet all at the same time!

Have a good night, girls!

Okay, I have planned out my dinners thanks to your inspiration.
Monday we had White Bean, Turkey, Green Chile chili
Tuesday - hotdogs/ brats on the grill with beans and mac and cheese
Wed - tacos - soft and crunchy
Thurs - Grilled chicken
Friday - leftovers
I feel so happy to have all of the stuff and not stress out. I also posted it on the fridge so we wouldn't be persuaded to go out to eat because we already have everything we need.

Very impressive, Jenny! Thanks for posting your plan... I want that white bean chili recipe. Sounds scrumptious!
