Motto Search

I'm on the hunt for a new motto for 2010. I loved last year's so very much, and I just haven't found one that resonates quite as much to me. I didn't even know I was looking for words to live by when I heard them, but they just made so much sense to me. I'm not retiring "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle", but rather adding to it. Do you have a quote or verse that you think would be fitting for a personal motto? Please share! I'm on the hunt and would love, love your input. I'll share everyone's suggestions here, in hopes that you find some inspiring words to take along with you as well. Thank you!

My thought (for now) is BE HAPPY FOR THIS MOMENT IS YOUR LIFE. I want to learn to embrace every day and every moment. Live for now not what could be or what should have been. All the best to you in 2010!!

I put one up on my blog the other day, although it's a bit longish... I really like the one you've had for 2009 - such a good reminder.

My 2010 motto is "Think bright thoughts". I posted about it the other day on my blog. It's taking the place of my 2009 theme of "Simplify" I started it out with one of my favorite quotes (which I might have told you before-sorry if I am repeating myself) "Time Flies whether you are having fun or not." A nice reminder to just relax and enjoy your short time here on earth.

It's long, but I'm really digging this quote lately :)

"You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world's happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime." -Dale Carnegie

Oh and I also love....

"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” -Ashley Smith

I just posted about this the other day. My motto to live by this year is "Be Still". I think that sometimes we just have to much going on and just don't take time to be still and meditate.

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." - Steve Jobs

This is now my own mantra for 2010. Hope you love it as much as I do!

Love your blog! ^_^

Just saw this one...
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face...do the thing you think you cannot do.
