Collections

I'm a collector at heart. If I found an attraction to something, I always wanted a pair. Then a trio and so on. When I was little it was stickers... shells... stuffed animals (I'm sure if I'd have been a kid in the age of webkinz, I'd have had needed a litter of them!) I would take my "collections" out and arrange them in different ways and just admire them. As I got older the things changed, but my collector's heart didn't. I progressed to stationary... colored glass... and my newest whim: tiny plates. I found these two cuties at a garage sale recently for a quarter a piece, and I'm now on the hunt. I envision a mini-plate wall.

This post got me thinking... Do you collect anything?

It's so amazing! I too collect things in pairs! I thought I am quirky and rare but now you've proved me wrong.

I collect a lot of things, mostly books and clothes. Can't get enough of books coz of my quest for knowledge and interesting information.

I guess I'm kinda like you, a collector at heart. I collect elephants (just cause I love 'em), books (oh, how I love books), linens from the 60's (gotta love the wonderful patterns), and quilts...just to name a few of the things I love and collect.
Peace & Love,
~Barb~

My problem is what don't I collect--I collect gnomes and have for over 30 years-spoons, thimbles, and believe me the list goes on!!

I love collections! I use to collect a lot of things... Right now I have a small collection of semi-precious stones(about 50ps);
Books and linens are not a collection any more...there are an obsession!

I collect white pitchers, but I'm starting to think that there are a lot of people out there that collect white pitchers... I can't ever seem to find any!

P.S. I'm having a little giveaway on my blog, and I'd love if you had a chance to stop by!!!

I've always been a collector - when I was a girl, it was rocks and stamps and vintage papers and, and, and...

Now I collect lovely handkerchiefs, and am building a teapot collection with a bit of a tradition. Whenever we take a holiday, my hubby buys me a new teapot! :o)

I'm a collector too...much to my husband's chagrin. He is the opposite of a collector. I love your little plates and the colored bottles on the post you linked to are to die for ;)

shoes? :-) i'm not sure that counts, but sort of! i also seem to accumulate hordes of cooking magazines, but that's probably because i'm just a pack rat!

Your mini plates are perfect and they would go wonderful with my vintage individual cake stands. The stands are hard to find and I currently have 4 and I'm always on the scout for more. Happy Hunting! xo

What a fun thing to make a collection of! I too like to collect...I like vintage cookie cutters, milk glass, and buttons. I'm sure my husband doesn't appreciate it that much. My daughter also likes to collect...looks like I've rubbed off on her. She likes to collect lip gloss. ♥
