Here's the scene: My 2 1/2 year old is in that stage where he's a human parrot. He likes to copy what you do and everything that you say. His favorite person to copy: his big sister. She thinks it's pretty cool, most of the time, to have a little one looking up to her. Sometimes she gets a bit tired of the whole routine though...
Little Gal: "Mom, can I play on the computer?"
Little Guy: "Mom, can I play on the computer?"
Little Gal (in her most exasperated voice): "Oh boy, Here we go again!"
Little guy (in his most exasperated voice): "Oh girl, Here we go again!"
Made me smile.

That is hilarious... I think our kids are close in age, but opposite sexes - my oldest is a boy and my 2 1/2 year old is a girl. Funny to see how the "little one" dynamic is switched around. My daughter follows her brother like a little puppy... not so much teases or taunts him. So cute!
Sounds like they've been playing shadow. That was always my sister and my favorite game to drive each other bonkers. At least your girl has a sense of humor about it.
That is so sweet! That's nice that she likes being looked up to. I always just thought my brother was a pain.
Little brothers can be so stinky (but funny and cute)! So funny that he is copying her.
Awesome. Little kids are so stinkin' cute!! My 3-year-old cracks me up and makes me smile so many times a day. I love these. :-)
Kids are so precious! I can't wait for my little one to arrive!
You are not helping my baby fever. I want a sibling for the dude baaaaaaad!
How sweet...I love it.
bah! this made me laugh!!! this phase will end. it better! :)
LOVE! I have a 2 1/2 yr old boy and a6 and 10 year old boys. My youngest is always following them around and copying them. it's precious. He'll even copy the way they stand, all the physical stuff they're just naturally doing with their bodies. It's funny to watch. i need to get it on video. lately, though, his most favorite person to copy is his 5 year old girl cousin! Probably because she just eats it up and makes a game out of it, whereas my boys are used to it. every night the only thing he ever thanks God for during prayer time is his cousin Lily! :-)
also, I just fell in love a little bit with the Whimsicalities blog that the "Little Moments" quote is from. (You know I use similar inspirational quotes in my artwork all the time, and I really like this one. I use this similar quote alot: "It's the little moments that make life big."
anyway, do you remember how you found this blog? I don't see any contact info or way to comment on her site, and i'd like to tell her how much i've enjoyed looking around her blog. thanks!
